Fleur East to join Bananarama at Millennium Square, Leeds – Saturday 4 August 2018
X-Factor star Fleur East has been announced as special guest for the hugely anticipated Bananarama concert at Millennium Square, Leeds on Saturday 4 August 2018.
Global 80s icons and the biggest girl band to emerge from the UK, Bananarama reunited for an incredible sold out indoor theatre tour last year and by popular demand now return to stages across the UK. This is the only chance a Leeds audience will get to see the original line up bringing their infectious magic to the stage!
Fleur East first shot to fame when she competed on the 11th edition of the X-Factor in 2015, achieving second place in the final. Her engaging personality doubled with incredible stage presence and the liveliest performances the show had seen, made her a firm favourite with the nation and subsequently building a huge fan base; catapulting her into the limelight and paving the way for an exciting debut album in December of that year. Fleur has been entertaining fans across the UK ever since, making her the perfect addition to the line-up for the Bananarama concert at Millennium Square.
Bananarama are Siobhan Fahey, Sara Dallin and Keren Woodward and they come to Leeds fresh from selling out tour dates across the Atlantic in USA and Canada.
Sara said, “We had the best time on tour last year and we’re so excited to continue the original line-up show into the summer! We’re really looking forward to playing with our live band again.”
Keren said, “This concert is part of the Leeds Pride weekend – an event that for years has unified the city in celebration and we are thrilled to have been invited to perform as part of it.”
Siobhan added, “We love partying at our shows and to be part of Leeds Pride means the people of Leeds are certainly in for a massive party. Come join us on August 4th in Millennium Square.”
The Bananarama concert is part of an incredible line-up of events in Leeds across the weekend for Pride - a brilliant pre-party for the LGBT Pride Parade which takes place across the city the next day. It is also part of the Leeds Summer Series, which brings a number of popular artists to the city every year, with 2018 including the Vamps and Simple Minds with KT Tunstall.
Tickets are now on sale.
This is a change to the previously advertised line-up of Sara Cox, who is unfortunately no longer able to perform.
